These Terms and Conditions govern access to the website, contact with San Blas Shared, and the customer service, guidance, and intermediation services provided by the company.

Use of this website is subject to these Terms and Conditions. When submitting a contact form, the user must confirm that they have read and agree to these Terms and are aware of the Privacy Policy.

Submitting a form, message, or quotation request does not constitute a booking.

1. Company Identification

The San Blas Shared brand is operated by ANEMOI TRAVEL CORPORATION, a company incorporated under the laws of the Republic of Panama.

2. Role of San Blas Shared

San Blas Shared acts as an intermediary in the booking of experiences offered by catamarans and accommodations located in San Blas.

Its role includes:

  • understanding the customer’s needs and expectations;
  • presenting the available options;
  • communicating the characteristics, terms, and prices provided by service providers;
  • explaining differences between experiences;
  • intermediating the contracting process and formation of the booking with the selected provider;
  • intermediating communication between the customer and the provider;
  • providing support related to the intermediation before, during, and after the experience.

San Blas Shared does not own or operate the catamarans, bungalows, or cabins presented on the website.

The delivery of accommodation and the services included in each experience is the responsibility of the respective provider.

3. Intermediated Experiences

San Blas Shared primarily intermediates bookings for:

  • private cabins on shared catamarans; and
  • accommodations in bungalows or cabins located on the islands.

Characteristics vary depending on the vessel or accommodation selected, including:

  • capacity;
  • minimum stay;
  • cabin or accommodation type;
  • private or shared bathroom;
  • air-conditioning availability;
  • internet access;
  • included meals and beverages;
  • tours and activities offered;
  • rules for children;
  • mobility limitations;
  • other amenities or restrictions.

The customer must carefully review the description of the experience and, before booking, disclose any feature or service that the customer considers essential.

4. Services Provided by Catamarans and Accommodations

Accommodation, navigation, meals, beverages, tours, activities, cleaning, onboard service, and other services included in the experience are provided directly by the contracted catamaran, bungalow, or accommodation provider.

The responsible provider will define and deliver those services in accordance with the terms presented to the customer before the booking.

San Blas Shared must accurately communicate the information received from providers but does not undertake the actual delivery of the services they offer.

5. Transportation and Other Services Contracted Separately

San Blas Shared does not provide ground, sea, or air transportation services.

San Blas Shared recommends licensed and recommended companies so that the customer may contract the necessary transportation directly.

The transportation contract, payment, and performance will take place between the customer and the selected company. The transportation provider will be responsible for its vehicles or vessels, drivers, schedules, routes, luggage, safety, and all other conditions of the service.

Likewise, tours, food, beverages, activities, and other services not included in the catamaran or accommodation experience must be contracted directly with the respective providers.

In these situations, San Blas Shared acts solely as a concierge, guiding the customer toward the options it considers most suitable.

Recommending a provider does not make San Blas Shared the provider, contracting party, or guarantor of the recommended service.

6. Information Presented on the Website

Descriptions, photographs, videos, prices, and other promotional content on the website are informational and do not, by themselves, constitute confirmation of availability or a booking.

Information, prices, and terms shown on the website correspond to offers available at the time of publication and may be updated for new inquiries. The price and terms applicable to the intended experience will be confirmed to the customer before the booking is formed, in accordance with the General Booking, Changes and Cancellations Policy.

Photographs and videos are intended to represent each experience faithfully. Minor changes in décor, equipment, linens, or the arrangement of spaces may occur due to maintenance or updates made by the provider.

Any feature that is essential to the customer must be confirmed in writing before the booking.

Once the specific terms of the booking have been presented and accepted, they will not be changed unilaterally, except for changes expressly accepted by the customer or required by circumstances provided for in the specific policy.

7. Bookings

Rules governing booking formation, payments, changes, cancellations, no-shows, and refunds are set out in the General Booking, Changes and Cancellations Policy. The General Policy establishes the general terms publicly applicable to bookings intermediated by San Blas Shared.

Before payment, the customer will receive a specific policy applicable to the intended experience. The booking may proceed only after the customer indicates agreement with that document by requesting the payment details, instructions, or payment link.

The specific terms presented and accepted before payment will prevail over the general policy published on the website if there is any difference between them.

8. Person Responsible for the Booking

The person who completes the contracting process will be considered the person responsible for the booking and San Blas Shared’s primary contact.

That person will be responsible for:

  • providing passenger information;
  • communicating the terms of the experience to the other members of the group;
  • communicating the applicable policies;
  • centralizing requests for changes or cancellations;
  • informing us of the group’s restrictions, needs, and expectations;
  • informing the other participants of the terms applicable to the experience and ensuring that they receive the necessary guidance.

Requests that change dates, prices, passengers, accommodation, or terms of the experience will be processed only when submitted by the person responsible for the booking.

Information and guidance related to the hiring of transportation companies, details of the experience, payment details and instructions, the commercial terms of the booking, and any other matters related to the booking will be provided exclusively to the person responsible for the booking. It will be that person’s responsibility to pass on to the other members of the group any information they consider necessary.

San Blas Shared will not provide operational information to other members of the group and will not make contractual changes with anyone other than the person responsible for the booking.

9. Information Provided by the Customer

The customer must provide complete, accurate, and up-to-date information about all passengers.

This includes, when necessary:

  • full names;
  • ages;
  • nationalities;
  • identification documents;
  • contact information;
  • dietary restrictions;
  • allergies;
  • mobility limitations;
  • health conditions relevant to safety;
  • special needs;
  • other information requested by the provider.

Failure to provide information, or providing incorrect information, may impair or prevent proper delivery of the service.

San Blas Shared will not be responsible for consequences arising from information omitted, provided incorrectly, or provided late by the customer.

When a person provides data about other members of the group, that person represents that they are authorized to do so.

10. Shared Experiences

In shared experiences, the customer books a cabin or accommodation for the persons listed in the booking but shares common areas, meals, tours, or activities with other guests.

The composition of the other groups may change during the stay because of different arrival and departure dates.

The number and type of cabins made available will be those communicated to the customer for the booked experience. Booking a shared experience does not give the group exclusive use of all cabins or areas of the vessel.

The provider may make the specific cabin assignments according to the vessel’s layout, occupancy, and operational needs.

11. Itineraries and Conditions in San Blas

San Blas is a remote destination subject to changing weather, sea, environmental, and operational conditions.

For catamaran experiences and tours included in the experiences, the itineraries presented are estimates and do not create an obligation to visit specific islands or follow a predetermined order.

Captains, crews, and operators may change routes, islands, schedules, and activities because of:

  • sea, wind, or weather conditions;
  • passenger safety;
  • guest embarkation and disembarkation needs inherent to the shared operation;
  • orders or requirements of authorities or Guna communities;
  • availability of islands and ports;
  • maintenance;
  • operational conditions.

Changes made to preserve safety or the viability of the experience do not constitute a breach of contract.

12. Authority of the Service Provider

During the experience, the captain, crew, or person responsible for the accommodation will have authority to make decisions relating to safety, navigation, organization, coexistence, and use of the premises or spaces.

Guests must follow the instructions received and the rules of the vessel, accommodation, communities visited, and local authorities.

Failure to follow safety instructions or engaging in unlawful, aggressive, or dangerous conduct may result in the guest’s participation being ended in accordance with the provider’s rules and the booking-specific policy.

13. Health, Mobility, and Safety

The customer must assess whether they have the physical and health conditions compatible with the selected experience.

The trip may involve:

  • getting into and out of vehicles, launches, and vessels;
  • moving across wet or uneven surfaces;
  • exposure to sun, heat, rain, and humidity;
  • staying in a remote area;
  • limited access to hospitals and medical services.

Pregnant travelers, older adults, persons with reduced mobility, relevant medical conditions, or other specific needs must disclose the situation before booking.

San Blas Shared will consult the service provider regarding the feasibility and suitability of the experience based on the conditions informed by the client. San Blas Shared does not perform medical assessments and discourages travel to San Blas for persons with sensitive health conditions that require monitoring, special care, or rapid access to medical assistance.

14. Children and Adolescents

Children and adolescents must be accompanied by their parents, legal guardians, or duly authorized adults. The responsible adult must provide the minors’ ages in advance and supervise them throughout the experience. Some providers may establish minimum ages, restrictions, or specific conditions for accepting children.

15. Travel Documents and Requirements

Each passenger is responsible for carrying valid documents and complying with immigration, health, and entry requirements for Panama and the Guna Yala Comarca.

Inability to participate in the experience because of missing documents, authorizations, or failure to meet personal requirements will be handled in accordance with the booking-specific policy.

16. Conduct and Damage

Guests must behave respectfully toward:

  • other travelers;
  • crews;
  • accommodation staff;
  • transportation providers;
  • members of Guna communities;
  • local authorities.

It is prohibited to engage in unlawful activities or conduct that puts people, vessels, facilities, or the environment at risk.

Damage caused intentionally, negligently, or through improper use may be charged by the responsible provider upon reasonable evidence of the damage and its cost.

17. Personal Belongings

Each passenger is responsible for their documents, money, electronic equipment, luggage, and personal belongings.

We recommend protecting belongings against water, humidity, sand, rain, impacts, and other risks inherent to the destination.

Loss or damage must be reported immediately to the responsible provider and to San Blas Shared.

18. Responsibilities

San Blas Shared is responsible for the diligent performance of the intermediation services it provides directly, including:

  • customer service;
  • presentation of available options;
  • communication of information received;
  • communication with the service provider;
  • receipt, identification, and confirmation of amounts paid to San Blas Shared;
  • booking confirmation;
  • support related to the intermediation.

Catamarans, accommodations, and other independent service providers are responsible for delivering the services they provide directly.

Transportation providers, tour operators, and other providers contracted separately are responsible for their respective services.

San Blas Shared will not be responsible for events caused exclusively by the customer or by independent providers contracted directly by the customer that are not part of the experience intermediated by San Blas Shared.

For catamarans and accommodations whose booking has been intermediated by San Blas Shared, each provider will be responsible for the actual delivery of the services within its scope, without prejudice to San Blas Shared’s own responsibilities arising from its intermediation activity.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits San Blas Shared’s responsibility for its own acts, omissions, or obligations, nor does it restrict mandatory rights under applicable law.

19. Force Majeure and Events Beyond the Parties’ Control

Delivery of the experience may be affected by events outside the parties’ reasonable control, such as:

  • severe weather conditions;
  • closure of roads, ports, or airports;
  • orders or actions by authorities;
  • restrictions imposed by Guna communities;
  • public health emergencies;
  • conflicts;
  • natural disasters;
  • widespread disruptions to access, transportation, or communications that prevent the experience from being delivered;
  • other unforeseeable or unavoidable events.

The consequences of these events will be handled in accordance with the specific policy accepted by the customer before payment.

20. Photographs and Use of Image

San Blas Shared will not use photographs or videos in which the customer can be identified for advertising purposes without the customer’s authorization. Participation in promotional photography or recording will be voluntary.

This rule does not prevent records that are necessary to document incidents, damage, complaints, safety matters, or performance of the service.

21. Intellectual Property

The texts, photographs, videos, logos, visual identity, and other website content are protected by applicable law.

The content may be viewed for personal, non-commercial purposes. Reproduction, modification, distribution, or commercial use requires prior authorization.

22. Privacy

Processing of personal data is governed by the San Blas Shared Privacy Policy.

Necessary data may be shared with catamarans, accommodations, and, when requested by the customer, with other independent providers, in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

23. Complaints

Any issue related to the experience should be reported as soon as it is identified, preferably during the trip, so that the provider and San Blas Shared have an opportunity to try to resolve it.

Complaints made later should include a description of what occurred and, where possible, documents, photographs, or other relevant information.

24. Applicable Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Panama.

Any dispute will initially be addressed through direct, good-faith negotiation.

If a solution cannot be reached, applicable jurisdictional rules and mandatory rights under applicable law will be observed.

25. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated to reflect changes in services, procedures, or applicable law.

The most recent version will remain available on the website.

Later changes will not modify specific terms of an already confirmed booking unless required by law or expressly accepted by the parties.
